Sky Sales Induction
Sky is a British media and telecommunications conglomerate with operations in U.K, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. It is Europe’s largest media company and has over 23 million subscribers and more than 31,000 employees.
Sky were inducting approximately 60 people every week. They needed a system in place to ensure staff retention, which was only at 50%. And to ensure new joiners were achieving sales targets, which they were not.
Alchemist developed a 3 week Sales Induction for Sky staff. It was a large scale project which required 2 separate Induction Programmes – one for the Sky Contact Centres and the other for Outsource Centres.
Alchemist also created all the supporting audio-visual exercises, call simulations, and provided Train the Trainer workshops to Sky trainers so that they are able to train the new induction programme.
And all of this was done in just 3 months from start to finish.
Alchemist’s programme achieved outstanding results.
After implementing the new Sales Induction staff retention rose from 50% to 90%. And over 50% of the new joiners achieved sales targets.
Afterwards Sky then commissioned Alchemist to develop another training programme – Saving Products and Customers. This helped Sky improve objection handling skills all across its business.
