[Webinar] Closing the Execution Gap: A First Look at Alchemist’s 2026 Leadership Challenges & Priorities Research
Wednesday 22 July 2026
4 PM BST / 11 AM EDT
The challenge for most organisations is execution, not strategy.
Execution depends on the day-to-day decisions, behaviours, and follow-through of the people responsible for turning priorities into results.
But Alchemist’s 2026 Leadership Challenges & Priorities research reveals a key tension: the capabilities organisations find most challenging aren’t always the ones they prioritise.
First-time manager capability is challenging for 71% of organisations, yet only 17% rank it a top priority. Recruiting and hiring challenges 77%, yet just 34% prioritise it. Meanwhile, near-term pressures around AI readiness, decision-making, and retention dominate the agenda, leaving foundational challenges to undermine performance, change, and execution.
To close the gap, leadership development needs to be designed for execution so new behaviours show up in the work itself.
Join Alchemist’s Solutions Director, Charlie Swan, as he shares an exclusive first look at our research findings and explores what top organisations are doing to overcome key challenges and deliver on execution.
