LONDON – June 30, 2026 – Alchemist, a global leadership development company specialising in changing behaviour at scale through practice-led learning, today named Russell Miller as CEO.
Miller succeeds Stuart Packham, who has served as CEO of both Alchemist and its parent company, Alchemist Group. Packham will continue as Group CEO.
Miller brings more than 20 years of experience helping organisations develop leaders, strengthen culture, and respond effectively to change. Most recently, he served as director of learning solutions and innovation at Imperial College, where he led teams across custom, open enrolment, and online and blended programmes. His work brings together strategy, leadership, innovation, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and sustainable performance, with a focus on creating learning that is relevant, practical, and impactful for leaders and their organisations.
“I’m delighted to be joining Alchemist at such an exciting point in its journey. The business has built a strong reputation for helping leaders and organisations achieve meaningful, lasting change, and I’ve been impressed by the quality of its people, clients, and programmes,” said Miller. “There’s a tremendous opportunity ahead to build on the work so far, deepen our impact, and accelerate growth. I’m looking forward to working with the team, our clients, and colleagues to write the next chapter of the Alchemist story.”
Throughout his career, Miller has held senior roles with BTS, Lee Hecht Harrison, Impact International, and Capita, working with corporate, government, and institutional clients in the UK and internationally. Across these roles, he has led organisations, built long-term client relationships, shaped strategic opportunities, and helped turn complex organisational challenges into thoughtful, high-impact learning initiatives. His experience spans consulting, business development, sales, account management, and learning innovation.
“We’re thrilled to have someone of Russell’s calibre taking the helm at Alchemist,” said Packham. “His grounded, commercial, and practical approach, combined with his understanding of the leadership development market and commitment to helping organisations build high-performance cultures, makes him a strong fit for this next chapter.”
Miller’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Alchemist. The company recently earned Accredited Learning Provider status from The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) and won a Gold Stevie Award for Leadership Training Practice of the Year, recognition that reflects its growing reputation for excellence. The acquisition of PCA and PCA Law in March has further expanded its capabilities, and the business is on an exciting trajectory as it deepens the ways it brings leadership to life for clients through practice-led learning.
