Feedback

Seeking to solidify a company culture, a global courier brand wanted to craft a management development programme. Looking to align with their value of Hands, Heart, Guts, the client wanted a five day intensive course for managers.

The programme needed to provide learners with the mindset, tools and tenacity to lead teams and cascade the company culture down to their people. It also needed to connect to their future strategy which was focused on delivering service in a digital landscape.

Management Development Intensive

In response, Alchemist created and experiential programme that was highly varied in delivery style. The sessions included theory, task-based practice, peer coaching and actor-lead scenario work. The programme was delivered to a cohort of 25 participants from mixed levels, all based in Sub-Saharan Africa.

We used a variety of diagnostic tools, coaching calls and highly interactive learning methodologies. These encouraged participants to explore management against three pre-defined principles: Me, My Team and The Future. This learning further embedded their values of Hands, Heart and Guts.

The experience involved a roleplay day that used experiential learning methodology. The session replicated real-life scenarios faced by managers. This presented them with the opportunity to practise the skills they had learned in the theory stages of the programme.

Engaging, Impactful Learning

Developing core skills in line with company values, this management development programme more than achieved what it set out to. It received a 97% positive score from participants, with feedback highlighting how engaging it felt to the learners. The client chose to re-run the programme for consecutive years, showing its internal impact and value.
